Heyuuuh!
Okay, so Christmas is over and I was out last week, been busy lately, was a nightmare! aghh!
Last Wednesday, I had a terrible time at work experience, so I was trying all week to sort it out, and I have finally handed in my confirmation sheet. My da said that he would take me on, but I wont be working with him face-to-face, instead he has asked his friend to look after the whole work experience thing. I was so glad, as I had rang many places trying to find somewhere, but none could take me on such short notice.
In art we have started drawing pictures which will be in black and white, no shading, and we're going to cover the black bits in the insides of a cassette tape. I think this is really creative and I can't wait to see everyones finished result!
Yesterday was really eventful! We had our mini-company presentation. There were two judges and we had to go up and stand in the middle of the hall and explain our job and what we did in the project. I kind of stumbled a little bit, but I think over-all my group did very well. There was nine awards given out, and three were given to each class. My mini-company product, cray8 colour, won a 'best business report booklet'. We were all really happy about this, and we hope to continue on selling.

Lessons Learned!
Hello! :D
I have a good bit of news to write about, enjoy!
Last Friday, my year and I set off on an adventure to Newbridge. This trip was organised a few weeks ago, for our mini-company project. I took a half an hour to get there, and I sat on the bus with Elaine. We were allowed listen to music on the way, which brightened up all our spirits!
As soon as we arrived, we all squeezed in to the Odeon cinema, where we were met by another two schools. The cinema was just about filled as we all gathered to our seats. We met Orla again, and she explained that she will tell us what sort of packaging we should use. This was a great help to my group and I as we had no idea what way to give our Cra8 Colours to customers.
After a few videos, and a whole lop of listening to Orla, we were finally finished and were allowed go to get something to eat in Newbridge Shopping Centre. Rosie, Ciara, Elaine and I went shopping firstly and we all picked up an ice-cream before heading back tot he bus. We were back in school in time for our last two classes, which we all hated, as they dragged on.
On Monday, our history teacher Ms McGrath had organised for Elaine, Aisling, Meadbh and I to go in a give a quick preview to two third year classes. We were all dreading this as we knew how much hassle the third years are.
At our 9:45 class, we all went to be registered and headed fir Mr. O'Callaghan's class. I went in first and all I could see was nearly 60 beady little eyes staring at me. I felt myself die inside. Aisling set up the slideshow while Elaine and I handed out our pre-made sheets.
We quickly ran through the power-point and out them into small groups for a quiz. This went really well, as they were quite and waited patiently for everyone else to complete the task given and for us to correct it. We also handed them a small packet of sweet, in order to praise them for their attention and hard work.
We then repeated this process for our 11:20 class, and again it went grand! We were all so glad that we got it all done and over with that day, instead of it dragging on and having to change things around.

MIdterm!
DATE; Week 29th-2nd of November
Hello!
Sorry i'm a bit back-dated on my blogs, as my computer at home isn't working and i'm a really slow typer! -.-
Anyway! This week I had my work experience meeting for the guards in Lexlip garda station at seven o'clock. My and my dad flew over and had a talk with Niall, who was going to be my supervisor for the week.
I was informed about what duties I was going to be given, and where I would be going. I was also told about what times I had to arrive at and who else would be there. At this point I was really excited to start my work experience, as I had been waiting for it for so long.
On Monday morning, I had to be in Lexlip Garda station for no later than ten o'clock, as we were to arrive in town by eleven. On Monday we are going to the Criminal Courts in Dublin City Centre.
I also found out that there will be number of students on work experience aswell, which I was quite nervous about as I find it hard making new friends.
Also, on Wednesday the 31st, which was Halloween, I decided to go in to work, as I would not be able to attend next Wednesday because next week i'm doing a full week of the guards work experience.
Work was grand on Wednesday, but again my back started to ache me. This was a bit of a problem for me, as I could bearly stand and was forced to leave work ten minutes early.

Experiences:)
Hello C:
Right, well the other day I found out that the guards offered me a weeks work experience, I was delighted! I wrote them a letter before summer started and they said they'd get back to me, and thank god they did! My work experience teacher confirmed that I was allowed do this work and now I can't wait. I've heard from people who have done it that its a great experience and it's really worth the while.
Anyway, in history we were given topics to do our project on, we split these between the group and I was given Yuri Gargain and Alan Shepard. These were two astronauts during the space race. We were also told that we were going to be teaching third year students, to try an help them with their junior cert. That should be fun!
On friday we had a man come in and he thought us about using our bikes and transport. This was a really good class as I learned much more about transport that I never knew. We spent forty minutes with this man and he was really nice and caring to us all. He explained his presentation very well and we all took notes on this topic.
This week we were also given a date in which to hand up our science project in order to be accepted in to the Scifest. My team and I chose the theme of Sleep-Walking. I think this is really interesting and I cant wait to get started, theres so much to learn and so many questions to ask!
Sorry my post was late, been real busy with projects and stuff!
Talk'ches soon,

FUN WALK!
Hola! :D
Well, my week has been hectic anyway! It was deadly thought. On Thursday, the whole school got together for a peaceful mass. It was beautiful. Although i'm not a christian or even a catholic for that matter, I really enjoyed the experience of being able to be part of a holy community without being judged by others.
The mass was held in our school hall by Father Kevin, who works in St. Patrick's Church, Celbridge. He was brilliant at interacting with the young people and was very nice to us all. At first, Fr. Kevin had a slight problem with his microphone, but he soon found a solution to his problem and powered on. Mass was over in what seemed like minutes to me. We, as a school, went back to our normal school day and most forgot about our blessings that we were given.
Friday was the best ever! FUN WALK! This year we were given the colour yellow. My class cairdeas and I decided on displaying the Gangnam Style Dance to the rest of the school. This was great fun and we all had a laugh! After all classes had preformed their dance, we all headed off on our annual walk. This was lovely, It was a nice day and the atmosphere was great. I was glad I was apart of my class.
This week I was finally on my way to creating my Jun Koture dress. Me and my partner, Elaine, are creating a dress out of paper mashe and playing cards. Our theme is the Joker and we are focusing in on the colours yellow and blue. I have started stapling on second hand cards and making partterns. I'm really enjoying this experience as I believe it brings out a new creative side to everybody.
Basically, I have had a really good week, I've been very busy but I've loved every minute of it!
Thanks for reading,
Peace Out,

Work! Work! Work!
Hello There,
Last Wednesday, which would have been the 26th of September, I finally got started on my work on experience. I was working alongside old family friends in a pharmacy in my village.
I was really scared and nervous walking in the door, but I was welcomed with a huge smile and a warm handshake. This made me feel like I belonged there. I stated my name and was soon shown to my duties.
I started off date checking some boxes of tablets, creams and oils. That went really well, I ended up throwing away a some pharmaceutical items and got to re-stock the ones that i'd thrown away.
I was then put on the computer to register some new items from an order that had arrived that morning. This was a s easy as pie! I got to scan items, press a few buttons and I was finished.
After I had re-stocked everything new, I took a quick break. This is when I had a lovely conversation with my new work mates. After my break, I was brushed off my feet running back and forth to Dr. Walsh's office, asking him to sign some documents for the staff and customers.
Later that afternoon, I was shown how to work the till to serve the customers. I also got to stamp the car park tickets. This was pretty awesome as I got to meet lots of lovely customers and help them out.
I then took my hour break from one o' clock until two, and came back feeling fresh and new for the next shift to start. I was taken back by the amount of new people I had met and talked to.
I have to admit the best part of the day was when my daddy came in and visited me out in the big world of work. I got to serve him and go and collect his prescription. I didn't really have a worst part of the day, the only fault that I had was my back aches, but I just brushed that off my shoulder.
I learned that the chemist is a place where I can be myself. I also learned that, the work place that i'm in has a set structure to report a problem. It starts off as a worker and then eventually gets told to either Dr. Walsh or Shirley. The world of work is a lot different than school. It has many different duties attached to it and people are depending on you. I think that I'd rather stay in school than in work!

See ye next Wednesday!

Carlingford :)
Hello :D
I've had a quite eventful few days, thank god! On Monday the 17th, my whole year and I set off on a two day adventure to Carlingford in Louth.
Peace Out,
We left the near by garage at seven o' clock Monday morning. The drive was an hour and a half long but flew by quickly with the bant on the bus. Evereyone was excited, giggling and clilling out waiting for the arrival in their new home for the next two days.
When the bus stopp, everyone scattered to collect their baggage and call the room they wanted. Firstly, we gathered in a small tennis court as the co-ordinators brushed through the rules and regulations.
As soon as we left our bags, safetly, in our rooms, we started our outdoor activities. My group started off with Lazer Tag. This was madness, but it was so fun! Everyone dressed up in camoflagued overalls and scurried up to the forest.
The atmosphere was tense but the excitement killed it, as you got a shot here and there off someone that was hid so carefully that you couldnt even see them.
Later, when we came back from the Lazer Tag and had some food, we were then instructed we were going Kikacking. The water was cold and the wind would cut you like a knife! My group was quickly dressed in red and black wetsuits and set off in the lake.
Everone was in need of some hot chocolate when they got back, but that was to be expected. All the TY's chilled out for a bit as we waited for dinner.
That night it was still wet and windy but we travelled up to the forest again to an activity called the Night-Line. This was where everyone was blindfolded and had to make their way through the forest. Although it was fun, everone came back to the hostel soaked and all muddy! We changed for bed and I have to say, it was the best night sleep i've ever gotten!
The next morning, we were up, awake, packed and out of our rooms at eight o'clock. Tea and toast was on my menu for breakfast. It wasn't long before the group gathered again together and set off on another adventure. This time we went to the high ropes.
The group was split in two and one team climbed 8 poles, while the other climbed a ten foot high pole. Most people mad it two the top, but for me it was a waste of energy.
We then went off and did a group activity where we had to work as a team to complete certan tasks, this was fun enought but everyone was tired and just wanted to go home.
As soon as we went back to the hostel, we gathered out bags and legged it for the bus! The journey home was quite and relaxed, it was as if no one had the energy to even talk. We arrived home at seven o'clock tuesday evening.
I had the best time in Carlingford with all my friends and peers. I'd like to thank all the instructors that accompanied us on our adventures and to Mrs. Leahy, Mrs. Bowes and Mr. Kennedy, as they all have given me memories that I will share and pass on to my future children etc etc haha!
